June Clothing Donation

Before our family vacation to Wisconsin Dells earlier this year, I went shopping for a new bathing suit. Thankfully, I realized mid-trip that I probably already had a few that would work. Yes, they are a little old. Yes, they are probably a little too big or a little too small [I was still working on losing those last few post-baby pounds at the time]. But seriously, I probably didn’t need another one.

Well, it’s a good thing I resisted buying one because I already owned a whopping THIRTY-SIX pieces of swimwear! And that didn’t include the FIVE cover-ups I also own. I could literally go swimming for almost a month and never repeat a suit.

[I’m ashamed to admit it, but I used to believe I needed a different suit for each day of vacation. Or at least three or four…because, you know, one might suddenly split at the seams or spontaneously combust or something. 🙄]

So, this month I am getting rid of 18 pieces of swimwear [and three sweaters, three tank tops, and two fashion scarves].

Now I’m pretty confident that, barring some apocalyptic catastrophe to my swimsuit drawer, I have a bathing suit in all the sizes and styles I need to last me for many years to come.
